There was once an old man. He hired two bearers to carry him on a palanquin wherever he would like
and promised to pay a salary. It so happened that the old man lost his dog.
He called the palanquin bearers and said:
"My dog is missing. Go and look for it!"
The bearers answered:
"We have bargained to carry you in the palanquin and not to look for dogs!"
"Right you are," said the old man. "You have agreed to carry me in the palanquin. Do it then!
And I will look for the dog. I will not let you go until I find it."
The bearers began thinking what to do and decided that they would rather look for the dog than
carry the master! And so they did.
